Experience
Hope4Kids
As a co-founder of Hope4Kids, I helped build and lead a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting underserved children in the San Diego area. I organized and led team meetings, coordinated fundraising initiatives, and worked with community organizations to expand Hope4Kids’ overall community impact. Our team raised more than $40,000 to support local youth programs and services. In addition to fundraising, I volunteered as a tutor for underserved youth, mentoring and assisting them through some of the most formative years of their lives.
Parking Assistant
As a Parking Assistant with Parking Management Company, I provided valet services in a fast-paced environment. I also served as one of the first points of contact for guests. In my role, I used strong communication and composure during busy periods while managing vehicle flow and customer requests. Interacting with a diverse set of guests has strengthened my customer service skills and taught me the importance of professionalism. Additionally, working in a team taught me how to be a leader and strengthened my collaboration skills.
Michigan SBIC
As a member of the Sports Business Inclusion Club (SBIC), I am involved in the Philanthropy Funnel, where I work with nonprofit organizations to identify community volunteer opportunities. Additionally, I partner with other organizations to host a charity basketball tournament. Overall, this experience has strengthened my analytical thinking from both financial and social perspectives. It has also deepened my understanding of how philanthropy and business can create meaningful change within communities.
Tilly’s
As a Sales Associate at Tillys, I spent much of my time working as a cashier and interacting directly with customers throughout their shopping experience. I helped customers find products they were looking for and offered recommendations based on their preferences. Working at the register taught me how to communicate clearly and handle transactions accurately. I enjoyed building a rapport with customers and helping them find items they felt confident and excited to purchase.
